Inside the classroom, a student gets to know about new things, new ideas, and new concepts, while outside the classroom, a student explores and experiences. To meet this objective our school arranges educational trips every year. As the teacher and philosopher, Confucius famously quoted,”I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.” The idea of educational tours is built around the practice of experiential learning. An educational tour to new places is not just a fun get-away. It is about exploring new environments and cultures. One of the most important benefits of an educational tour is that it subtly develops an understanding of various social issues around the world. Students get a better grip on the local and the global issues. They become more empathetic and respectful towards other cultures as well as towards their own surroundings.
Educational Tours of our school for students provide them with an opportunity to collaborate with teachers, and integrate new perspectives with informal environments to enhance learning initiatives. While on an educational tour/field trip a student has the opportunity of interacting with different people which helps develop social behaviour and create a social network, contacts and references. It gives them an opportunity to inculcate the habit of travelling alone and in groups and making them more empathetic towards fellow students.
